French Immersion at Ecole Good Shepherd

École Good Shepherd School is proud to offer Early French Immersion from Kindergarten through to Grade 6. French Immersion is a French language program with the goal of developing functionally bilingual students through teaching most of the curriculum with French as the language of instruction. The Early French Immersion Program provides students with the opportunity to acquire fluency in speaking, reading, writing, listening and communicating in French. The program introduces French as the language of instruction, beginning in Kindergarten or Grade 1. Students at all grade levels are fully immersed in a French environment where they are listening and speaking in French for the majority of their day.  ÉGSS is proud to offer Physical Education, Music and Band in French as well.  English Language Arts and Religion are the only subjects taught in English.

Christ the Redeemer Catholic Schools is committed to French learning as an expression of our Canadian identity.  Students will develop French language proficiency and an appreciation for French culture in, and beyond, the classroom.  Throughout our division, students will experience excellent instruction through various French programs.
