We experienced a Christmas Around the World concert this evening with our grade fives. They put on an action packed concert full of a ton of energy!

The grade threes along with Mr. Kommes did a great job tonight at their Christmas concert focussing on the Advent candles and the birth of Jesus. Great singing and showcasing their ability to play the bells!

Our teachers and support staff kicked off the Christmas season a little early with a heartfelt gift exchange and every gift is heading out to support the Magic of Christmas 🎄✨ It was such a special day filled with generosity, gratitude, and the true spirit of the season. Congratulations to Mme Danielle Boudreau, ÉGSS's winner of the Excellence in Teaching award this year. Danielle is a remarkable educator who wholeheartedly dedicates herself to her students, shaping them into both strong learners and compassionate individuals. She consistently goes above and beyond in planning and delivering engaging, meaningful lessons tailored to her students' needs. We are blessed to have Mme Boudreau as part of our school community!

Congratulations to Mrs. Carlina Nori, ÉGSS's award recipient for the Power of One Carlina's unwavering commitment has rightfully earned her EGSS's "Power of One" award. A cornerstone of Good Shepherd, she's a dynamic, proactive educational assistant. Within classrooms, her initiative is undeniable, seamlessly supporting teachers and students while expertly managing resources. We are so blessed to have her as part of our school community!

The Grade 2s had a very special visitor today — Mayor Tanya Thorn! 🎉 She stopped by to personally thank the students for their incredible efforts in raising over 400lbs. of food for the Okotoks Food Bank before Easter. 🥫💛 Each student was presented with a certificate, an Okotoks pin, and a pencil as a token of appreciation.
