Ecole Good Shepherd Parent Council It's Bazaar Day 🎁🎄🙌

A huge thank you to the volunteers who were so generous with their time on Sunday transferring everything into the gym and setting up for our Christ Bazaar. We couldn’t do it without so many parents giving up their own time on the weekend. Today will be another busy one for volunteers as well. HUGE THANK YOUS ALL AROUND!

Always one of the teachers favorite days 🎁 Our Magic of Christmas celebration 🎄

Our elementary Christmas Choir headed around town today singing carols at three different seniors lodges and our board office. The students absolutely loved it and it was very much appreciated by those who they performed for.

TRANSPORTATION UPDATE 6:15 am – December 08, 2023 All of our schools are open, but some rural routes might not run due to icy conditions and accumulation of snow. Although conditions appear to have improved, significant snowfall and drifting on rural roads has created unsafe driving conditions. We expect in-town buses to run in all communities, but we anticipate that road conditions might cause some to run late. Even where we initially determine that rural buses can travel, individual bus drivers have the authority to cancel routes if they determine that local conditions may be unsafe. In the case that a route is cancelled, Southland Transportation will contact families. Students and staff driving to school should use extra caution and plan for additional travel time. Please do not leave children unattended at bus stops, and please ensure that they are dressed appropriately for the conditions. CTR will continue to monitor the road conditions throughout the day. Talk about rising to the occasion! The grade fours put on an amazing concert this evening that included singing, spoons and even a few bell songs. They really showcased their talents!

The grade fives have been doing a great job so far with patrolling this year. As a way to thank them for all their hard work we had our first pizza party today. Keep up the amazing job!

This evening we kicked off our Christmas Concert season with our kindergarten dance. The joy on their faces (and the parents and grandparents) is something to behold. It was a great way to start Advent!

Our grade six classes led a great Blessing of the Advent Wreath Liturgy this morning. This officially starts the countdown to Christmas here at Ecole Good Shepherd School.

Father Vijaya was in this morning talking with our grade three classes about Advent. He also took some time to bless the rosaries they made a few weeks ago with the Totus Tuus ladies.

It's the first week of Advent 💜 Our first purple candle is Hope 🙏
