Attention all Grade 5 and 6 parents! There is a great opportunity coming up this week for youth ministry. See the flyer below!

Our schoolwide game called Survivor has started up once again at our school. In order to play the game, each class/tribe must create a raft and paddle it to Outbreak Island. After, they must chant their tribal hymn in order to receive the golden ticket to play 2021 Survivor. Our school has erupted in school spirit!

Always a great way to kick off Advent here at Good Shepherd - our Blessing of the Advent Wreath Liturgy. Thank you to the grade sixes for leading us in this liturgy this morning. It really does a great job at keeping the birth of Jesus as the focus of Christmas . #egssfaith

Parents on our School Council do a fabulous job creating activities where families can spend quality time creating amazing memories. Here is yet another example! We are having a small fundraiser next week, our annual School-wide Pyjama Day in support of the Rowan House Women's Shelter. This will be held on Wednesday, December 1st and we are asking students to wear their pyjamas that day and to bring a Twonie (or other generous donation) to brighten up a Christmas of a family in need. Thanks so much for your support for this worthwhile endeavour. #egsscares

We are officially on day 2 our our Fall Book Fair. Students have been in to see all the books available for purchasing. Unfortunately, we still are unable to have adults in the building due to COVID but we are excited to say there is a virtual book fair where books can be purchased happening as well. Just reminding everyone that with Parent-Teacher Interviews happening this Thursday we will be dismissing kids at 11:40. Buses will be here at that time to take students home at that time as well.

Starting this Friday at 8:00 a.m. we are inviting all parents to sign up for Parent-Teacher Interviews. The interviews will be held on Thursday, November 25th. Students will be dismissed at 11:40 a.m. and interviews will begin at 12:30 and continue through the afternoon and evening via Zoom. Teachers are hoping to meet with all of their students parents/guardians so they can update them on their academic progress.

This Friday is our first report card. You will be able to download them via your PowerSchool Parent Portal. All parents should have received an email regarding how they can view their childs' report card. If you run into any problems please contact either Jodi or Desiree here in the office.

Our grade fives did a fabulous job today with our Remembrance Day Observance. Just a reminder that there is no school tomorrow and we’ll see everyone on Friday.
