Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads in our school community 💙 🙏
This morning our grade one and two classes had their Sports Day out on the playground. They had a lot of fun playing golf, having water relays, playing with the parachute and getting tattoos. The weather was amazing as well.
Check this out 🙌🎉 Spreading Smiles Fundraiser 😁 Great work Zac 👏
Our Grade 6 students spent an amazing two days at the Southern Alberta Bible Camp for their graduation retreat. Students enjoyed indoor rock climbing, archery, an escape room, gym time, outdoor games and of course - the giant swing! Students, parents and staff also joined together for a special liturgy to bid adieu to our graduating class. Thank you to all of our amazing parent volunteers, SABC staff and teachers for putting together such a fantastic time!
This past weekend some our students celebrated their First Eucharistic at St James Parish!
📢 Good Works project 📢 Last week our grade 4's rallied together to raise funds and items for Heaven Can Wait in High River. We were able to drop everything off today and they were overjoyed and impressed by what they got in only a week. Also, will put the $140 to good use. 🎉 Way to go Grade 4!!!
More video from our School Wide Cooperative Games day!
Our School Wide Culture Building Event organized by Mr. Lendvay!
What a day for ÉGSS! Mr. Lendvay organized three school wide activities over the last few weeks. Today was all about learning about problem solving and collaborating as a group and having some fun playing games. Mr. Lendvay started the whole school assembly teaching them about ways to interact with each other independently. Each group had students from different grades and they had to figure out how to undo their human knot. He then had them watch a Ted Talk about contributing to our world with service, gratitude and kindness. Next, the students had to figure out which stations they would do and go to first. They then headed outside to participate in all the stations. The teachers were running the stations while the students had to figure out how to get their group to each station and how to play cooperative games. What a fantastic day of fun and growing our cooperation and independence! Thank you to Mr. Lendvay and all the teachers and support staff for organizing such a great culture building event for our school!
The Grade 6 girls took to the court this week for round robin play in badminton! Way to go girls 🙌🏸
The sun was shining, the smiles were big and the activities were endless for the Grade 5's on their field trip to Cobb's Adventure Park yesterday 🙌🎉
It’s always a highlight of the school year when we see how far the grade six band has come over the course of the last ten months. Tonight we had our year end concert and to them them perform songs as complex as Jurassic Park and Soft Kitty was amazing. They should be very proud of their accomplishments this year.
It's Book Fair time 🎉📚🙌
Congrats to our deserving award winners who were celebrated at last night’s CTR awards ceremony. Angela Tsimaras - Above and Beyond Jenna Beaton - Excellence in Teaching Kelly Galloway - Power of One
Our grade four students entertained us with a reader’s theatre of the Stinky Cheese Man at our Good Shepherd Lives in Me Assembly this afternoon. We are officially down to our last month of school for 2022-23.
Extra! Extra! Read all about it!! Did you hear the great news? ÉGSS has their very own newspaper that was created by our amazing grade 5 students. Morgan, Graham, Jaxson, Mya, Aubrey, Daphne, Brooke, and Emily approached the office to pitch their idea to write their own newspaper. Inside, they would include news stories, write their own comics, do some interviews, and so much more. Their first edition is coming out this week. Thank you to Mme McDonah who helped them to bring their idea to life. Their first edition is amazing!!
