Mrs. Hempel will be speaking about how lucky we are to live in a community that supports Catholic education at Sunday’s 11:00 mass. There should be a good turn out of teachers there as well. We would love to see you in the congregation. #egssfaith

Mlle Fitzpatrick and Mme McDonah are thrilled to be in Ottawa for ACPI. This Canada wide conference hosts French Immersion teachers from all over the country - and even the US! They have enjoyed being students and learning new things to bring back to our community! #egsspd

The grade sixes have been working hard practicing their new instruments over the last few weeks. Today they got a hand from the band students at Holy Trinity Academy as they took part in sectionals after school. A huge thank you to Mrs. Coventry and her music students who provided some valuable help to our students today.

We know it’s only the beginning of November but these two might deserve the “volunteer of the year” award already. Today is hot dog day for our hot lunch program meaning these two are boiling hot dogs all morning! Talk about taking one for the team! #egssvolunteers

After three years of missing out we are very excited to be having our first school dance this Friday… so grab your Halloween costumes and come on out. It’s going to be a great evening.

Ecole Good Shepherd School is once again participating in Jacket Racket this year. If you have any gently used jackets, snow pants or winter boots that either you or your child no longer needs please send them in over the next week. This is great way to help out people in our local community.

This morning we had our first grade level mass of the year. Our grade four classes took the bus over to St. James Parish for the Bible Blessing Mass. Every student in grade four receives their own New Testament which has been donated by our School Council. #egssfaith

We have had an absolutely amazing fall so far! Our outdoor kindergarten program is making great use of it watering the plants, planting flowers, making things in the outdoor kitchen etc. Keep your fingers crossed for a mild fall and winter.

Our grade four classes had Michael in today from the Eco Centre telling them all about the ways they can recycle and reduce the amount of waste they produce. This links directly with their Science unit, Waste in Our World. #egssstaygreen

Our students had a lot of fun taking part in our Turkey Trot this morning. The weather was great and the kids got some exercise while they were at it!
