This morning we had our students participating in a bus evacuation drill as they got to school. This is a great way to have students know the protocols just in case we ever run into an emergency situation. Great job Southland Transportation!
Our young authors were hard at work at the Authors’ Conference last weekend! ✍️📚 From creative ideas to inspiring stories, we are so proud of their imagination, dedication, and love of writing. The future of storytelling is bright! 🌟

Hats on for Mental Health 💙💛 On May 6, we’re wearing our hats to raise awareness, spark conversations, and show support for mental health. A small act can make a big difference, so let’s stand together. #HatsOnForMentalHealth
Last week, Mme Boudreau’s Grade 5 class was introduced to coding through the use of Ozobots! 🤖✨Through this hands-on experience, students are beginning to explore the basics of coding by using colour-coded commands to guide their Ozobots. This introduction to coding is a fun and engaging way to build foundational skills like logical thinking, creativity, and perseverance. They are excited to build on this learning as they continue to develop their confidence and skills in coding!🚀
Today our school community gathered for a beautiful liturgy as we prepare for Good Shepherd Sunday this weekend. We reflected on how we are called to care for one another with kindness, compassion and leadership just like the Good Shepherd 🙏🏼 💙💛
This week the Grade 5 French students had the opportunity to learn from one of their own alongside one of his co-CHAMP members. Frank and Maria shared with the kids what life is like as a CHAMP (a child amputee) while also discussing the importance of making safe choices. Thank you to the CHAMP community for making the time to chat with us and answer our questions! 💙💛
French, Fun, and Fellowship!🙌 Our ÉGSS students had a blast collaborating with the high schoolers from Holy Trinity Academy today! It was a wonderful day of [Entraide et amitié] as our students worked together on: 🌸 LE PRINTEMPS // Creating beautiful spring artwork. ✍️ LA LITTÉRATIE // Mastering literacy centers and verb conjugations. 💰 LA NUMÉRATIE // Practicing real-world money skills. 🏀 LA VIE ACTIVE // Staying fit and building team spirit outside! It’s such a blessing to see our Catholic school community grow together. [Merci beaucoup] to the HTA mentors for inspiring our younger learners!

Due to winter road conditions, rural bus routes in Okotoks, High River, Strathmore, Drumheller, and Canmore will not run today, including routes serving St. Francis of Assisi Academy. In-town bus routes in these communities will still run as usual. In Brooks all in-town and rural bus routes are expected to run normally. Affected families will receive communication directly from their driver this morning. Please also check the bus route status page on our website for updates. If possible, parents may make alternate arrangements to transport their child(ren) to and from school. Please do not leave children unattended at bus stops. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our families.
The forces are strong in Grade 4. Students had an afternoon of experiments with magnets and static before the Easter break. Everyone had an electrifying time 😂
Thank you to the grade five classes for leading us in our Stations of the Cross yesterday. This was a great way to bring a wrap to the Lenten season. We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Easter holiday and we’ll see you all on April 13th.
