The dental hygienist was in today to talk to the kindergarten students about how they can best take care of their teeth. They even had their own tooth fairy with them!
The entertainment continued...
We had some amazing entertainment in the gym this afternoon for our Francophone Concert. The grade six students did a great job hosting the event and every grade had the opportunity the sing a few songs and perform a dance. It was very well done; the students should be very proud.
More videos and pics from our French concert!
We had our French immersion showcase today. What talent and what a turnout!
The big game is finally here 🙌 Don't miss out tomorrow, Murray Arena at 1:15 👍

Our French Immersion students are working hard to get ready for their French Concert this coming Monday to celebrate Francophone Week. All students in French will be participating and the concert begins at 1:15. We’d love to have our parent community join us for the concert! This afternoon I was lucky enough to see out grade fives practicing their dance.
Don't forget, Friday will be our St. Paddy's Day theme Day 💚🍀
Teachers had a chance to do some visioning and planning for the new school yesterday. Our Educational Assistants will have a chance to dream and plan in the upcoming weeks. Parents and trustees will also have a chance to be consulted about the new school and do some visioning on Tuesday, March 21 at 7 pm at the ÉGSS gymnasium for our very first Influencer's Engagement Night. You can RSVP at the link below! We hope to see you there! https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfXCRjx8SXY8Mg4kNv1Z4NgEJeqTmKcWMzkO3H4tnP0cUYqNw/viewform
This morning we were lucky enough to have Father Vincent into the school to talk with our grade four students about the meaning of Lent. It is always great when we have one of our priests in talking with the students.
Mrs. Hempel had the best visitors come in for a visit on Friday.....ÉGSS' very own authors!
Christ the Redeemer is thrilled to be awarded a replacement school for École Good Shepherd School to be located in the community of D’Arcy Ranch. We are very excited to be granted this blessing and are so thankful for the hard work and dedication by so many people to make this happen! We will be having an Influencer’s Engagement night on Tuesday, March 21 starting at 7 pm to celebrate our community and engage in fellowship, conversation, and consulting about our current and our future new school. We would love to invite all current parents attending ÉGSS, prospective parents in the areas of Mountainview, Sandstone, Crystalridge, Wedderburn, and D’Arcy, staff, and trustees to this very unique night. Feel free to share this information and invite (attached) with your friends or families who live in this area. Please RSVP at the link below for the Influencer's Engagement Night. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfXCRjx8SXY8Mg4kNv1Z4NgEJeqTmKcWMzkO3H4tnP0cUYqNw/viewform
On Friday we had our Beginning of Lent Liturgy.. We had some great new songs to sing and the students did a great job focusing on the three behaviours the church asks of us during Lent - prayer, fasting and almsgiving.
Wow, our students sure love pancakes! A big thank you to our Parent Council and all the volunteers who helped us celebrate Shrove Tuesday today. (Yes, we know it was last week but it is such a great day for the students to begin focusing on the beginning of Lent.). It was a busy building but there were some very appreciative students.
How lucky are we that our Knights of Columbus and Parent council are cooking up a pancake breakfast for us in honor of Shrove Tuesday. The kids were out of school last week but they are dedicated to making sure our kids get pancakes this week! Thank you so much for all that you do for us! The kids and teachers are so excited!
