See the attached post from our Parent Council for an explanation of the upcoming Christmas Bazaar.
Students this week are taking part in a whole new activity in Physical Education. We have converted the gym into a bowling alley and the students are polishing up their skills with strikes and spares galore!
This coming Thursday is our annual Pajama Day Fundraiser in support of the Rowan House Women's Shelter. Students are invited to wear their pajamas on Thursday and bring a toonie which will be donated to the women's shelter. It's our way of helping to make someone's Christmas just a little better! Thank you in advance.
Please see below a message from our School Council. The students always love the Christmas Bazaar and it's a great way for the students to shop for the members of their household.
The Advent season is upon us. It is a time of longing and waiting for the Lord to come. The first week of Advent, our purple candle symbolizes Hope 💜
A huge thank you to our parent council and all the volunteers who contributed to the staff dinner yesterday for parent-teacher interviews. The dinner was great and being able to head back during the evening for a few more treats definitely helped get the teachers through a long day.
Just a reminder that the book fair will be open throughout Parent-Teacher Interviews this afternoon and evening. Some great Christmas present ideas in here! Also the online book fair continues until the end of the day on Monday.
Have a great weekend ❤️
It is with heavy hearts that we ask everyone to keep the family and friends of Montana Dobry (Erickson) in your prayers. Montana was a former student of École Good Shepherd School and recently passed in a car accident. #egssremembers
We wanted to pass along the reminder that with Parent-Teacher Interviews happening this week we have an extra early dismissal on Thursday. The student will be finished school at 11:40 and PTIs start at 12:30. Also, there is no school on Friday. We hope everyone has an amazing long weekend.
It's always a good time at the Book Fair 📚
A big thank you to our teachers who were so generous with their time this weekend as they ran our annual Christmas Card Making Day. This is a great School Council event that the kids absolutely love! It was great to have so many volunteers helping the students make cards as well. A great time was had by all! Thank yous all around!
Our grade six volleyball players were excited today as they prepared to head off for their divisional tournament in Calgary. The new uniforms look great too! #egssgrade6
Book Fair has arrived here at ÈGSS! Mrs. Sinclair has been hard at work getting prepared for next week❤️ Our book fair takes place Monday to Thursday including Parent Teacher Interview Night! There is a great selection of books and we hope to see you there 😁
Here are a few more pictures from grade three rosary making. #egssfaith
A huge thank you to the ladies of Totus Tuus, a rosary making group from Holy Spirit Parish in Calgary, for coming in this week and making rosaries with our grade three students. The work they do is so impactful for our students and staff. The students each made their own rosary that they will keep. A big thanks to our parent volunteers as well. #egssfaith
We've officially reached the end of term one and parents will be able to access their child's report card tomorrow at 8:00 a.m. This is also the time when you can begin booking your Parent-Teacher Interview. You will have already received an email with the instructions on how to book interviews. If you run into any problems please call Desiree here in the office. We hope to see as many of you next Thursday as possible.
We’re down to less than a week until the big divisional volleyball tournament. The grade sixes have been practicing hard the last month during lunch hours and look ready for the challenge. Next Monday 84 grade sixes (yes you read that right - 84!) will travel to Calgary for the Christ the Redeemer Grade 6 Volleyball Tournament. It’s awesome to see that we had such a high participation rate. The students are going to have a great day!
For the last month Mrs. Bolechowsky and Mr. Kommes have been leading an extra-curricular beginning violin group on Monday’s at lunchtime. They have been making some great progress and we look forward to sharing some videos of them as they continue to progress. Keep up the great work!
For Your SACRIFICE, For Our FREEDOM … THANK YOU 🙏 Today and Everyday, We Will Remember ❤️
